Why we're excited: Most of the series cable has to offer are brooding, dark dramas, and we love them for it, but a little levity goes a long way. Californication is fully capable of being dark and brooding, but even still, when it's on, it's the uncontested champion of breezy, R-rated comedy.
The sixth season will find boozing author Hank Moody sacrificing his artistic integrity yet again, this time with a live musical version of one of his books. Aside from a recurring guest appearance from Maggie Grace as a rock groupie/muse (that could potentially lead to a spin-off), as well as a cameo from Marilyn Manson, not much else is known. complex.com
