Californication star David Duchovny stopped by Kelly & Michael. He’s “an award-winning actor who’s been entertaining us and shocking us.” He came out and said, “Whoopi Goldberg has some big feet.”

Kelly & Michael remembered that Duchovny had said he was learning to play guitar. He still plays every week with his friends Matt and Jimmy. They teach each other. They may even record something soon.
The hosts asked Duchovny if he sings. He sings poorly, but he writes his own songs. His kids put their hands on the strings when he plays, so they probably don’t like it. Kelly & Michael asked Duchovny to come play if he records his music. He said he’s nervous but he’ll do it, he’ll need multiple tries though.

Duchovny just got Twitter. He and X Files costar Gillian Anderson had a conversation and people went crazy. Kelly & Michael asked if this surprised him. Yes, he said. He’s always surprised by anything with Twitter, though.
He revealed he says, “Tweet” outloud whenever he does something on Twitter. “Do you know how to retweet?” Kelly asked. “Huh?” he replied. That answers that.

In a clip from Californication, Duchovny’s character Hank said hello to Karen. “I thought you ran off with the rock and roll circus,” she said. “I did, but I came back. For you,” Hank replied.

This is the last season of Californication. Kelly remembered how hard ending her show was. He said his final shot was a simple scene of just him by LAX. He has already said the show’s creator, Tom Kapinos, cried and it pissed Tom off, so David thought it would be funny to say it again.

The crew would see it and know it’s almost time to go home for the week. Kelly said she would drink “Wheatgrass and Vodka.” “That’s the breakfast of champions,” Duchovny said. Californication‘s final season airs on Sundays on Showtime.
