There weren’t a lot of repeats last night but there were a number of repeat performances. Thursday’s primetime saw the majority of originals matching their tepid July 2 results. With a 6% bop up from last week, Big Brother (1.9/7) was the top-rated show and the third most watched (5.9 million) after The Big Bang Theory (1.4/6) and Mom (1.2/5) encores that preceded it on CBS. However, it was newbie Aquarius (0.5/2) and Mistresses (0.8/3) that saw the biggest rises among adults 18-49 compared with last week. The Manson era-set NBC series was up 25%, while the soapy ABC show jumped 33% in the key demo.
Up from its pre-Independence Day lows, the latter was given a nice launch by its lead-in The Astronaut Wives Club (0.8/3, which rose 14% from its July 2 showing. The David Duchovny-starrer also likely got a bit of bump with the second week of Food Fighters (0.8/3) also up 14%. With Under The Dome (1.0/4) matching its series low of last week, CBS still topped Thursday with a 1.4/5 rating and 5/78 million overall viewers. Under The Dome won the 10 PM slot with Rookie Blue (0.7/2) and Hannibal(0.4/1) both matching last week’s ratings.
On NBC, Food Fighters earned a 0.8, up a tenth from last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating. Aquarius garnered a 0.5, up a tenth from last week's 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Hannibal was even with last week's series low 0.4 adults 18-49 rating.
